Round 26 of the Premier World League Season 2026 brought another action-packed set of results as the race for the top 16 playoff positions intensifies. With 62 games in the season, teams have now completed 26 rounds, leaving 36 matches for clubs to make their move.

Bolognesi came into the match in playoff position and this victory is exactly what they needed to strengthen their grip on the top 16. São Paulo, meanwhile, remain in the Friendly Cup range and will need a stronger finish to the season if they want to challenge for the playoffs.
👑 Alianza Lima keep rolling
Alianza Lima (12th) continued their excellent form with a 3–2 victory over Calvary FC (25th).
Alianza entered the match having won four of their previous five and once again delivered. The three points keep them comfortably inside the playoff places and give them momentum heading into the final 36 rounds.
Calvary remain in the King's Cup zone and need to turn their form around quickly.
💪 Cienciano make a statement
Cienciano (4th) produced another impressive result, defeating Libertad (24th) 4–0.
The victory is particularly important because Cienciano are fighting not merely for a playoff place but for one of the coveted top-four World Cup of Clubs positions.
Their form has been outstanding, with five consecutive wins shown coming into the match.
⚔️ Deportivo Cali edge Universitario
Deportivo Cali (6th) defeated Universitario (5th) 4–3 in one of the round's most entertaining games.
This was a huge six-point battle between two teams firmly entrenched in the playoff picture. Cali's victory allows them to close in on the teams above them, while Universitario lose an opportunity to strengthen their position near the top five.
Both clubs remain safely in playoff territory, but the result could become important when the final standings are decided.
🦇 Valencia suffer another setback
Real Racing (20th) pulled off a major upset, defeating Valencia (3rd) 2–1.
Valencia's position among the top four makes every defeat particularly significant. The loss could have consequences in the World Cup of Clubs race, especially with teams such as Cienciano and Deportivo Cali pushing hard.
For Real Racing, however, this is a massive three points in their attempt to climb out of the Friendly Cup positions.
🔵 Chelsea bounce back against Feyenoord
Chelsea (29th) earned an important 2–1 victory over Feyenoord (26th).
Chelsea desperately needed the win after struggling near the bottom of the table. The victory moves them away from the immediate relegation danger and gives them hope of climbing into the King's Cup places.
Feyenoord, meanwhile, miss a valuable opportunity to pull further clear of the relegation battle.
🇨🇴 Santa Fe defeat Manchester United
Another major upset came from Santa Fe (8th), who defeated Manchester United (10th) 3–2.
Santa Fe's victory strengthens their position in the playoff race, while United suffer another damaging result against a direct playoff contender.
With both teams inside the top 16, this was a particularly valuable result for Santa Fe.
🌟 Sporting Cristal keep pace
Sporting Cristal (2nd) defeated Deportivo Pasto (4th) 4–1.
This was a statement performance from one of the league's leading teams. Cristal continue to occupy a World Cup of Clubs position and showed their strength by beating another high-ranked opponent convincingly.
For Pasto, the defeat could be costly as the battle for the top four becomes increasingly intense.
🚨 Atlético Grau crush Montreal
Atlético Grau (11th) had no trouble against Montreal Impact (28th), winning 3–0.
Grau continue to hold a strong playoff position, while Montreal remain deep in the relegation fight.
With 36 matches still to play, Montreal have time to recover, but results like this make their climb toward safety increasingly urgent.
😱 U de Chile shock Aucas
One of the biggest surprises of Round 26 came from U de Chile (30th).
They defeated Aucas (7th) 2–1, taking three precious points from a team comfortably inside the playoff positions.
Aucas missed a chance to strengthen their position near the top six, while U de Chile have given themselves another reason to believe they can escape the bottom two.

Cesar Vallejo (22nd) defeated Danubio (27th) 4–2.

Hong Kong FC (10th) produced one of the most impressive attacking performances of the round, defeating Southam (32nd) 6–1.
Hong Kong FC's victory strengthens their playoff position, while Southam continue to struggle at the bottom of the table.
For Hong Kong, this is exactly the kind of result that can build momentum for a push toward the upper playoff positions.
👑 Sport Boys maintain their dominance
Sport Boys (1st) continued their remarkable season with a 5–0 victory over Pegasus (31st).
The league leaders remain firmly in control of first place and continue to look like one of the strongest teams in Group A.
Pegasus, meanwhile, remain in the relegation fight and desperately need points from the remaining matches.
🌊 Vancouver keep their playoff hopes alive
Vancouver Whitecaps (17th) defeated Pegasus? No—the Round 26 matchup shown is Vancouver Whitecaps (17th) 3–1 Pegasus (31st).
The result is especially important because Vancouver sit just outside the top 16. A victory at this stage could be the beginning of a climb into the playoff places.
They are now one of the teams most closely watching the teams ranked 15th and 16th.
⚔️ Chankas and Arsenal play out a 1–1 draw
Chankas CYC (9th) and Arsenal (19th) shared the points in a 1–1 draw.
For Chankas, it is a missed opportunity to strengthen their top-10 position. Arsenal, however, will probably be happier with the point as they continue their battle in the Friendly Cup zone.

Cruz Azul (14th) defeated San Jose (13th) 2–3 in another important game involving playoff teams.
Cruz Azul's victory gives them three crucial points in the middle of the playoff race. San Jose, meanwhile, remain inside the top 16 but now have less room for error.

🏆 World Cup of Clubs race
The top four are under increasing pressure. Sport Boys, Sporting Cristal, Cienciano and Valencia occupy the prized World Cup positions, but the teams immediately behind them are close enough to make the race interesting.
🟢 The playoff race
The top 16 remains the major target for most of the middle of the table. Deportivo Cali, Universitario, Santa Fe, Hong Kong FC, Chankas CYC, Atlético Grau, Cruz Azul and Bolognesi all strengthened or protected their playoff positions in different ways.
🟡 Friendly Cup battle
The 17th–22nd positions are becoming increasingly competitive. Teams such as Vancouver Whitecaps, Real Racing, Arsenal, São Paulo and Cesar Vallejo are all within striking distance of the playoffs.

Round 26 belonged to the top teams and the relegation fighters alike.
Sport Boys and Sporting Cristal continued to show why they are among the league's elite, while Cienciano's 4–0 win further underlined their excellent form.
The biggest shocks came from Real Racing beating Valencia and U de Chile defeating Aucas. Those results demonstrate just how unpredictable Group A remains.
Meanwhile, Bolognesi, Alianza Lima, Santa Fe, Hong Kong FC and Cruz Azul all picked up valuable points in the playoff race.
