Group D's promotion race has been shaken up.
The biggest development is undoubtedly Blooming's 2–1 home defeat to C.D. Dandy. The league leaders have finally been knocked off their stride, and Metropolitanos immediately took advantage by beating Independiente del Valle.
At the same time, Talleres, Mushuc Runa and Genk all strengthened their playoff positions, while Táchira, San Carlos and Anderlecht dropped points.
And because there are 39 rounds still remaining, the standings are nowhere near settled.
The automatic-promotion battle now looks particularly intriguing: can Blooming recover their momentum, or will Metropolitanos and the chasing pack turn this slip into a full-scale challenge for 1st place?
