👑 Match of the Round: Tecos demolish Lyon
Tecos F.C. 5–0 Olympique Lyonnais
1st vs 25th
The league leaders sent an emphatic message.
After being held 1–1 by Marseille in Round 11, Tecos responded with a dominant 5–0 victory over 25th-ranked Lyon.
That's exactly what a team chasing automatic promotion needs to do after dropping points: respond immediately and decisively.
Five goals, a clean sheet, and three points—an almost perfect round for the leaders.
🔥 Ensenada destroy Marseille
Ensenada F.C. 4–1 Olympique de Marseille
4th vs 25th
Ensenada continue their excellent form.
After beating 2nd-ranked Barrio México in Round 11, 4th-ranked Ensenada followed it up with a 4–1 demolition of Marseille.
That's potentially a huge six-point swing in the promotion race over two rounds:
- Round 11: Ensenada 3–2 Barrio México
- Round 12: Ensenada 4–1 Marseille
Ensenada are rapidly establishing themselves as one of the teams to watch in the top four.
💥 Alajuelense crush HFX Wanderers
HFX Wanderers 2–5 Liga Deportiva Alajuelense
16th vs 5th
Alajuelense produced the attacking performance of the round.
The 5th-ranked side scored five goals away from home, defeating HFX Wanderers 5–2.
After beating 3rd-ranked Tuzos in Round 11, Alajuelense have now won again.
That's six points against high-quality opposition over two rounds, and their attacking form is becoming difficult to ignore.
⚔️ Tuzos edge Barrio México
Tuzos UAZ 3–2 C.D. Barrio México
3rd vs 2nd
What a crucial match.
The two teams directly behind the leader faced each other, and Tuzos came out on top 3–2.
This is a massive result in the automatic-promotion and playoff races.
Barrio México had already lost to Ensenada in Round 11, so they now have back-to-back defeats against direct competitors.
Tuzos, meanwhile, recover brilliantly from their Round 11 loss to Alajuelense.
🟢 Arsenal Kyiv keep rolling
FSC Bukovyna Chernivtsi 2–3 FC Arsenal Kyiv
19th vs 6th
Arsenal Kyiv continue their excellent form.
The 6th-ranked side won 3–2 away from home, making it another valuable three points in the playoff race.
After beating Kramatorsk in Round 11, Arsenal have now collected another victory.
Two wins in two rounds puts them among the strongest momentum teams in Group C.
🔥 Kramatorsk win another five-goal thriller
FC Supra du Québec 2–3 FC Kramatorsk
20th vs 8th
Kramatorsk bounced back after losing to Arsenal Kyiv in Round 11.
The 8th-ranked side defeated Supra 3–2 away, keeping themselves firmly inside the 2nd–9th playoff qualification zone.
It's a particularly important win because Kramatorsk needed a response after losing a direct playoff battle in the previous round.
🇵🇱 Cracovia defeat Partizan
FK Partizan 2–3 KS Cracovia
22nd vs 10th
Cracovia came into the round occupying the 10th-place Friendly Cup position.
They did exactly what they needed to do, winning 3–2 away against 22nd-ranked Partizan.
That's an important three points because Cracovia are trying to break into the playoff positions while protecting their Friendly Cup qualification spot.
🤝 Red Star and Górnik share the points
Red Star Belgrade 2–2 Górnik Zabrze
7th vs 24th
The only draw of Round 12.
Red Star were 7th and therefore comfortably inside the playoff zone, but could only draw 2–2 against 24th-ranked Górnik.
For Red Star, this is undoubtedly two points dropped.
Górnik, meanwhile, will be delighted with a point against one of the league's top teams.
🇮🇪 Drogheda United defeat Hoffenheim
Drogheda United 3–2 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim
18th vs 15th
Drogheda picked up another useful victory.
They followed their 4–1 victory over Wanderers in Round 11 with another win, this time edging Hoffenheim 3–2.
That's back-to-back victories, giving Drogheda some genuine momentum.
🇮🇪 Bohemian beat Frankfurt
Bohemian F.C. 2–1 Eintracht Frankfurt
21st vs 17th
Bohemian collected three points in a closely contested match.
The 2–1 victory gives them an opportunity to climb the table, although they remain outside the qualification positions.
🇷🇸 Vojvodina defeat Lech Poznań
FK Vojvodina 3–2 Lech Poznań
21st vs 23rd
Vojvodina won another five-goal contest.
Both sides were outside the main qualification picture, but the three points are valuable for Vojvodina as they attempt to move upward.
🇨🇦 Wanderers fall to Shamrock Rovers
Wanderers 2–1 Shamrock Rovers F.C.
13th vs 20th
Wanderers bounced back from their heavy loss to Alajuelense by beating Shamrock 2–1.
They remain close enough to the cup qualification positions to make the middle of the table interesting.
🇪🇸 Numancia beat Braga
C.D. Numancia 3–2 Braga
9th vs 10th
This was a particularly important match because both teams were around the qualification boundary.
Numancia entered 9th, meaning they were in the playoff positions, while Braga were 10th and therefore held the Friendly Cup spot.
Numancia's 3–2 victory is a major result in that battle.

🏆 The Promotion Race
Round 12 has created some very interesting momentum at the top.
🥇 1st — Automatic promotion
Tecos F.C. remain the team to beat.
Their 5–0 win is exactly the response they wanted after dropping points against Marseille.
With 1st place earning direct promotion to League II, Tecos have made sure their Round 11 stumble didn't turn into a crisis.
🥈–9️⃣ — Promotion playoffs
The playoff race saw some major results:
- 2nd Barrio México — lost to 3rd-ranked Tuzos
- 3rd Tuzos UAZ — beat Barrio México
- 4th Ensenada — won 4–1
- 5th Alajuelense — won 5–2
- 6th Arsenal Kyiv — won 3–2

- 8th Kramatorsk — won 3–2
- 9th Numancia — won 3–2
That's an outstanding round for the chasing pack.
Tuzos, Ensenada, Alajuelense, Arsenal, Kramatorsk and Numancia all gained valuable points.
🎟️ Friendly Cup & King's Cup
The fight around 10th–12th is also heating up.
🟢 10th — Friendly Cup
Cracovia won 3–2 away at Partizan, giving themselves an excellent opportunity to hold onto the Friendly Cup position.
👑 11th–12th — King's Cup
The teams around these positions are under pressure because Numancia's win over Braga directly affects the boundary between playoff and cup qualification.
With no relegation, these cup positions provide an important secondary objective for teams outside the playoff race.

🔮 Round 12 Verdict
Tecos have answered the challenge.
After being held by 25th-ranked Marseille in Round 11, the league leaders came roaring back with a 5–0 demolition of Lyon.
But behind them, the promotion race is becoming fierce.
Tuzos have beaten Barrio México, Ensenada are flying, Alajuelense have won two straight against top-five opposition, and Arsenal Kyiv and Kramatorsk are building momentum in the playoff places.
The biggest concern right now is Barrio México. After sitting 2nd, they've now lost to Ensenada and Tuzos in consecutive rounds. Meanwhile, Ensenada and Alajuelense look increasingly dangerous.
With 38 rounds still remaining, though, this is only the opening chapter.
The Group C promotion race is already shaping up to be a battle between Tecos' consistency and an increasingly dangerous chasing pack.
