Round 10 of League III Season 2026 brought another entertaining set of results to Group D, with 58 goals scored across 13 matches. The round featured plenty of close contests, several impressive away victories, and another high-scoring draw.
After 10 rounds, the teams have completed exactly 20% of the 50-round season, leaving 40 rounds still to play. The table is beginning to take shape, but there is an enormous amount of football remaining before the promotion and cup positions are decided.
The objectives remain straightforward: 1st place earns automatic promotion to League II, while 2nd through 9th qualify for the playoffs for the second promotion spot. 10th place earns Friendly Cup qualification, while 11th and 12th qualify for the King's Cup. There is no relegation from League III.

San Lorenzo de Almagro 2–3 AIK Fotboll
AIK Fotboll continued its strong response with an impressive 3–2 away victory over San Lorenzo. The Swedish club found a way to win another close encounter, while San Lorenzo was left empty-handed despite scoring twice.

Zamora FC 2–1 Mushuc Runa
Zamora FC claimed a narrow 2–1 home victory over Mushuc Runa. The Venezuelan side took advantage of home-field advantage to secure three important points.
Metropolitanos FC 3–3 L.D.U. Quito
Another high-scoring thriller ended level as Metropolitanos and L.D.U. Quito played to a 3–3 draw. Six goals were scored at Olympic Stadium in Caracas, with neither side able to find the decisive strike.

Round 10 Highlights
The attacking numbers tell the story of another exciting week. 58 goals in 13 matches works out to an average of approximately 4.5 goals per game.
There were seven matches decided by a single goal, emphasizing just how competitive many of the fixtures remain. Five of those victories went to the visiting side, making away form particularly important in Round 10.
The biggest winners included Defensa y Justicia and Canon Yaoundé, who each scored four goals, while AIK Fotboll, Deportivo Táchira, Independiente del Valle, Talleres de Córdoba, and Blooming all secured valuable road victories.
The 3–3 draw between Metropolitanos and L.D.U. Quito was the round's only draw and provided another six-goal spectacle for Group D fans.
The Promotion Race
Ten rounds into a 50-round season, it is still far too early to declare a favorite for automatic promotion. However, every three points earned now can become extremely important when the table tightens later in the campaign.
The ultimate prize remains 1st place and direct promotion to League II. Finishing 2nd through 9th keeps the promotion dream alive through the playoffs, making the top nine positions extremely valuable.
Meanwhile, teams outside the promotion picture still have meaningful objectives. 10th place earns a Friendly Cup berth, while 11th and 12th qualify for the King's Cup. With no relegation, even clubs near the bottom can focus entirely on improving their position and competing for one of these postseason opportunities.

Round 10 marks the 20% point of the regular season. With 40 rounds remaining, there is still plenty of time for teams to climb the standings, recover from poor starts, or establish themselves as promotion contenders.
Group D continues to produce goals and unpredictable results every round. The promotion battle is only beginning to heat up, and with so many matches still ahead, one hot streak could completely change the complexion of the table.
