Premier World League 2025 Group A Round 59 Recap

Premier World League – Group A Round 59 Recap

Round 59 of the Premier World League Group A is complete, and with just three matches remaining in the 62-game season, the battle for playoff positions and cup qualifications is at its most intense stage.

🏆 Top of the Table / World Cup of Clubs Qualification (1–4)

Cienciano (PER) remain the team to beat, leading the standings with 138 points after another impressive win. Their attack has been sensational with 186 goals scored, keeping them on course for a World Cup of Clubs spot and possibly the league title.

Universitario (PER) are holding strong in 2nd with 137 points, just one point behind the leaders — setting up a thrilling title race to the finish.

Santa Fe (COL) sit 3rd on 131 points, while Sporting Cristal (PER) round out the top four with 130 points, ensuring all remain in line for World Cup of Clubs qualification if they maintain form.

⚔️ Playoff Zone (5–16)

Valencia (SPA) dropped slightly but stay in contention at 5th with 129 points, followed by Bolognesi (PER) on 114 and Deportivo Cali (COL) on 112.

Barcelona (SPA) bounced back into 8th, holding 109 points, and Alianza Lima (PER) are not far behind with 104.

The mid-playoff pack is incredibly tight — Manchester United (UK), Sport Boys (PER), Hong Kong FC (HK), Atletico Grau (PER), Arsenal (UK), San Jose (USA), and Deportivo Saprissa (CTF) — all remain above the 100-point mark. With just three rounds left, any stumble could reshuffle the playoff line-up dramatically.

🏅 Friendly Cup Qualification (17–22)

Currently, Chelsea (UK) (99 pts), U de Chile (CHI) (97), Cruz Azul (MEX) (96), Feyenoord (NEA) (91), Montreal Impact (USA) (90), and Aucas (ECU) (90) are all inside the Friendly Cup zone. These teams will aim to finish strong to lock in their positions, as several clubs just below could still overtake them.

👑 King’s Cup Qualification (23–26)

Libertad (PAR) (89 pts), Calvary FC (CND) (84), São Paulo (BRA) (82), and Fulham (UK) (81) occupy the King’s Cup spots. They’re safe for now, but their margins are narrow — meaning any of the lower-ranked sides could still challenge them with a late surge.

⚠️ Relegation Zone (Bottom 2)

At the bottom, Danubio (URU) (52 pts) and Pegasus (HK) (55 pts) remain in the relegation zone. Both sides face an uphill battle to escape with only three games left, needing a miracle finish and a bit of luck to stay in the top flight.

🔥 Final Stretch Outlook

With just three rounds remaining, the title race between Cienciano and Universitario is razor-thin, and several clubs are still fighting to clinch playoff or cup qualification spots. Expect high drama as the Premier World League Group A heads toward its thrilling conclusion!
