League III 2025 Group D Round 29 Recap

League III – Group D: Round 29 Recap

With just nine rounds left in the 38-game season, the race for promotion and playoff qualification in Group D is heating up!

San Lorenzo de Almagro (ARG) remains the team to beat, holding firm at the top with 52 points after another strong run of results. Their consistency both home and away has them on course for direct promotion to League II.

Mushuc Runa S.C. (ECU) stays close behind with 51 points, continuing to apply pressure with their solid defensive play. L.D.U. Quito (ECU) and Always Ready (BOL) complete the current top four, each within striking distance thanks to recent unbeaten spells. These sides are positioning themselves well for the promotion playoffs.

Benítin Tacna Heroica (PER) and Independiente del Valle (ECU) are not far behind, rounding out the top six and keeping playoff dreams alive. Both have shown resilience, picking up key wins that keep them safely in contention.

In mid-table, Club Destroyers (BOL) and Blooming (BOL) sit in playoff range, though recent stumbles mean they’ll need sharper performances to hold their spots. Club Plaza Colonia (URU) and Deportivo Táchira (VEN) round out the current top 10, with the latter clinging to the Friendly Cup qualification place.

Just below, Talleres de Córdoba (ARG) and Zamora F.C. (VEN) occupy the King’s Cup qualification zone. Both are close enough to challenge for higher positions if they can string together wins.

The bottom half of the table, featuring Metropolitano F.C. (VEN) through R.S.C. Anderlecht (BEL), has no relegation worries this season, allowing them to focus on development and late-season pride.

As the season enters its final stretch, the battle for the promotion playoff spots looks intense — with only a few points separating teams from 2nd through 9th. Expect plenty of twists ahead as every result now counts double in the race for League II glory.
