League III Group D Round 7 Recap

Here’s a full recap of Group D – Round 7 of League III play!

🔹 Group D – Round 7 Recap (League III)

Mushuc Runa S.C. (ECU) are the new leaders after 7 matches with 16 points. They boast the strongest attack in the group with 21 goals scored and have won 4 of their last 5. Their away form (14 goals in 4 games) has been the key to their rise.

L.D.U. Quito (ECU) sit close behind with 14 points, only two off the leaders. They have been consistent at home (8 goals scored, 2 conceded) and remain strong challengers for the top.

Club Plaza Colonia de Deportes (URU) also have 14 points, holding third place thanks to a balanced record and an unbeaten home run. Their defense (just 5 conceded) has been one of the best so far.

Always Ready (BOL) sit in 4th with 14 points as well, their high-scoring attack (17 goals) keeping them competitive. However, their away form has been shaky, with 6 goals conceded.

Talleres de Córdoba (ARG) (13 pts) round out the top five. Despite their strong start, they slipped slightly this round but remain within striking distance of the top.

Mid-Table Action

  • Bucha (UKR) and Blooming (BOL) are both on 13 points, tightly packed in the middle. Bucha have looked sharp in attack (18 scored), while Blooming’s defense has been leaky (15 conceded).

  • San Lorenzo de Almagro (ARG) (12 pts) follow closely, with solid attacking numbers but still struggling for consistency.

  • Club Destroyers (BOL) (11 pts) have shown promise but faltered with back-to-back defeats.

  • Benitín Tacna Heroica (PER) and Independiente del Valle (ECU) both sit on 9 points, unable to string together a winning streak despite competitive performances.

Lower Half

  • Deportivo Táchira F.C. (VEN) (8 pts) and Aeladas IK (SWE) (8 pts) share mid-lower positions. Both have struggled defensively, each already conceding over 15 goals.

  • R.S.C. Anderlecht (BEL) and Defensa y Justicia (ARG) are at 7 points apiece. Anderlecht’s defense has collapsed (16 conceded, –4 GD), while Defensa y Justicia have been especially leaky (25 conceded, worst in the group).

  • Metropolitanos F.C. (VEN) (7 pts) and Centro Atlético Fénix (URU) (6 pts) remain near the bottom despite attacking sparks.

  • AIK Fotboll (SWE) (6 pts) and Zamora F.C. (VEN) (3 pts) are struggling, unable to find consistency on either side of the pitch.

Bottom of the Table

  • Arameisk-Syrianska IF (SWE) sit firmly at the bottom with just 2 points. Their defense has been porous (23 goals conceded, –12 GD), leaving them winless after seven rounds. Their away record is particularly poor, with 15 goals conceded in only 4 games.

📊 Key Takeaways After Round 7
