League III 2025 Group B Round 27 Recap

League III - Group B: Round 27 Recap

With just 11 rounds left in the season, the race for promotion and playoff positions in Group B is heating up. FC Helsingør (DNK) continue to impress, but several challengers are still within reach as the table tightens up behind them.

🥇 FC Helsingør (DNK)

Helsingør remain top of the table with 57 points after 27 matches. Despite a slight stumble earlier, they bounced back with solid results and now hold a 9-point cushion over second place. Their balance of 57 goals scored and only 48 conceded keeps them firm favorites for automatic promotion to League II.

🥈 FC Gloria Buzău (ROU)

The Romanian side climbed to second on 48 points, overtaking Celta de Vigo after a consistent run. Their last five matches show mixed form, but crucial wins keep them in strong playoff contention.

🥉 RC Celta de Vigo (SPA)

After a strong start to the campaign, Celta slip to third on 46 points. Their defense remains solid, but a lack of goals lately has slowed momentum. They’re still well-positioned for the promotion playoffs.

🔹 Villarreal CF (SPA)

Level with Celta on 46 points, Villarreal continue to fight for a top-four finish. Their resilience in tight matches has kept them in the mix for a playoff spot and even a late challenge for the top.

🔹 Rayo Vallecano (SPA)

Rayo stay competitive in fifth, also on 46 points. Their form has been a bit uneven, but with strong away performances, they are very much alive in the promotion playoff race.

⚔️ Mid-table Battles

  • C.D. Santa Clara (POR) (45 pts) and Hvidovre IF (DNK) (44 pts) are right behind the top five, both pushing hard for playoff stability.

  • Royal Charleroi SC (BEL) and Canadian (URU) sit 7th and 8th, still within striking distance of the top four.

  • FC Porto (POR) occupy 9th place with 41 points — still inside the playoff zone but under increasing pressure from below.

🏆 Friendly Cup Zone

  • AFC Unirea Slobozia (ROU) sit 10th with 40 points, which currently secures the Friendly Cup qualification spot. They’ll aim to push higher, but their next matches will be critical to stay above the mid-table pack.

👑 King’s Cup Zone

  • AC Horsens (DNK) and FC Dinamo București (ROU) in 11th and 12th places, respectively, hold the King’s Cup positions. Both teams have hovered around the lower mid-table most of the season and will want to finish strong.

⚠️ Bottom of the Table

  • SK Super Nova (LVA), Royal Antwerp F.C. (BEL), and BFC Daugavpils (LVA) continue to struggle near the bottom, with results not going their way.

  • Rēzeknes FA/BJSS (LVA) and MA Gent (BEL) are in the danger zone, while Violette Athletic Club (HT) remain bottom with just 14 points and a -52 goal difference — relegation looks almost certain unless a miraculous run begins soon.

🔮 Looking Ahead

With 38 rounds in total, there are still plenty of points to play for. FC Helsingør appear set for promotion, but from 2nd to 9th, the playoff race is wide open. Teams like Porto and Santa Clara could still make late surges, while those around 10th will battle to secure their tournament placements.
