League III 2025 Group A Round 31 Recap

League III – Group A: Round 31 Recap

With just seven rounds left in the League III season, the promotion and playoff battles in Group A are heating up. Deportivo Garcilaso (PER) continue their dominant run, sitting firmly at the top with 64 points after 19 wins. They remain on course for direct promotion to League II, showing strong consistency both home and away.

In second place, Vancouver Whitecaps FC (CND) trail closely with 58 points, still within striking distance of first and looking strong for a playoff berth. Pirata FC (PER) hold third with 56 points, keeping pressure on the top two and maintaining excellent recent form.

Excelsior Rotterdam (NEATH) and Deportes Iquique (CHI) round out the top five, both on 53 points, separated only by goal difference — each pushing hard for a higher playoff seed. Chaco Petrolero (BOL) and Audax Italiano (CHI) stay competitive as well, sitting sixth and seventh with 51 and 50 points respectively.

Toronto FC (CND) and Club Deportivo Palestino (CHI) complete the playoff zone at 49 and 47 points, respectively, while Dynamo Moscow (RUS) in 10th with 44 points currently occupy the Friendly Cup qualification spot.

Below them, PFC CSKA Moscow (RUS) and Casa Sports (SEN), in 11th and 12th, would qualify for the King’s Cup, while the rest of the table remains safe from relegation — since no relegation applies in this division.

At the lower end, teams like Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao (CHN) continue to struggle, sitting last with only 2 points, while Shandong Luneng Taishan (CHN) and ASCE La Linguère (SEN) aim to finish their campaigns with pride.

With seven rounds remaining, every point will matter — especially in the congested mid-table playoff race. Expect plenty of drama as Group A heads into the final stretch of the season!
