League III 2025 Group C Round 34 Recap

League III – Group C Round 34 Recap

Round 34 in Group C delivered a major shake-up across the table, with momentum swings at the top, fierce battles in the playoff zone, and several teams surging or slipping at crucial points of the season. With only four rounds remaining, every point now carries massive weight.

🔝 Promotion Race

1st – Bayer 04 Leverkusen (70 pts)

Leverkusen remain firmly on top with a 6-point lead, continuing their outstanding season. Their recent form (W W W D L) keeps them in control of the direct promotion spot to League II. As long as they maintain stability, promotion looks likely.

2nd – Red Star Belgrade (66 pts)

Red Star stay in second, four points clear of third place. Their mix of strong home performances and high-scoring away matches keeps them secure in the playoff zone and within touching distance of the top.

🔥 Playoff Zone (Ranks 2–9)

The competition for the playoff positions remains extremely tight.

3rd – Limón F.C. (64 pts)

A consistent run of results keeps them solidly in third, just two points behind Red Star. Their attack has been one of the best in the group.

4th – FK Vojvodina (62 pts)

A rise to 4th thanks to improved form and tightening defense. They remain in strong playoff territory.

5th – C.D. Barrio México (60 pts)

They maintain their place inside the top five, with home success continuing to drive their campaign forward.

6th – Lech Poznań (54 pts)

Despite struggling recently (L L L W D), they cling to their playoff spot thanks to an earlier strong run. But pressure is rapidly increasing from below.

7th – FC Arsenal Kyiv (54 pts) ▲ +1

Arsenal Kyiv climb into 7th place, showing much more consistency home and away. A crucial win this round boosts their playoff hopes.

8th – Shamrock Rovers (51 pts)

A tough recent stretch has slowed them down, but they remain inside the playoff line for now.

9th – Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (48 pts)

Still holding the last playoff spot, but their form has dipped at a dangerous moment. They’ll need to rebound quickly to avoid being overtaken.

⚖️ Friendly Cup Qualification

10th – Drogheda United F.C. (47 pts) ▲ +6 (Biggest mover!)

Drogheda make the biggest leap of the round, climbing six spots to take over the Friendly Cup position. Their away form has been particularly impressive, and if they keep this momentum, they could even push toward the playoff bubble.

🏆 King’s Cup Zone (11th–12th)

11th – Górnik Zabrze (41 pts) ▼ –2

Górnik drop from the playoff race and now settle into 11th. Their defense has been inconsistent, costing them crucial points.

12th – TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (41 pts) ▼ –2

Hoffenheim also lose ground and join the King’s Cup zone. Their away struggles in particular have dragged them down the standings.

📉 Lower Table (No Relegation)

There’s no relegation in League III, but there are still significant battles for pride, form, and finishing position:

  • 13. KS Cracovia (41 pts)

  • 14. FC Kramatorsk (41 pts)

  • 15. Bohemians F.C. (40 pts)

  • 16. FK Partizan (40 pts)

  • 17. Eintracht Frankfurt (40 pts)

  • 18. FSC Bukovyna Chernivtsi (38 pts)

  • 19. Olympique de Marseille (32 pts)

  • 20. Olympique Lyonnais (10 pts) – A tough season continues, one of the poorest defensive records across all groups.

Several teams from 11th through 17th remain extremely close on points, meaning the King’s Cup and Friendly Cup positions could still change dramatically.

🔮 Outlook Heading Into Round 35

  • Leverkusen look increasingly safe at the top, but Red Star and Limón are still within striking range.

  • The playoff battle is heating up, particularly from 6th to 12th, where form swings are flipping positions every round.

  • Drogheda’s massive jump into 10th puts pressure on Cracovia, Górnik, and Hoffenheim.

  • With four rounds left, nearly every team from 6th to 17th still has something significant to fight for.
