League III 2025 Group B Round 29 Recap

Group B • Round 29 Recap

The table tightened again as Round 29 wrapped up, and the chase toward promotion and playoff places took another dramatic turn. With 38 rounds in the season, the final stretch is coming into view. Every point from here forward feels heavier.

Top of the Table

FC Helsingør (DNK) return to the summit with 52 points, climbing back into the automatic promotion position. Their blend of scoring efficiency and control continues to give them the edge, though it’s far from a comfortable lead.

Just one point back, Rayo Vallecano (SPA) sit in 2nd place with 51 points, well inside the playoff window and waiting for Helsingør to blink.

Gloria Buzău (ROU) and Villarreal CF (SPA) also share the 51–50 point range, forming a tightly packed cluster where a single win or loss can shuffle the top four entirely.

Positions 5–9: The Playoff Crowd

This range remains packed shoulder-to-shoulder:

RankTeamPointsNotes
5RC Celta de Vigo50Still within striking distance of 1st
6C.D. Santa Clara48Form swings but still firmly in playoff space
7Canadian (URU)47Hard team to read, but dangerous
8Hvidovre IF45Climbing steadily
9Royal Charleroi44Holding onto the final playoff seat

The gap from 5th to 9th is just 6 points. No one is safe. No one is out.

Cup Qualification Zone

  • 10th place belongs to FC Porto (POR) with 42 points, which currently slots them into the Friendly Cup.

  • 11th and 12th: AFC Unirea Slobozia and Dinamo București sit in the King’s Cup territory.

These spots remain volatile. One good week could push a King’s Cup team into the playoff bracket, or one slip could drop a playoff team to the Friendly Cup.

Down the Table

No relegation worries here, so clubs have the freedom to experiment, rebuild, and try to finish strong:

  • Violette Athletic Club (HTI) remain bottom at 19 points, but still playing with grit.

  • Rezeknes FA/BJSS, S.L. Benfica B, and KAA Gent have had rough patches but can still shape the playoff race as late-season spoilers.

Sometimes a team with nothing to lose becomes the most dangerous one in the room.

Momentum Watch

Big Climbers

  • FC Helsingør back to 1st.

  • Royal Charleroi quietly holding a crucial 9th-place playoff line.

  • Hvidovre IF surging into the upper-middle.

Teams Under Pressure

  • RC Celta de Vigo and Villarreal CF are still strong contenders, but dropped points recently have tightened the chase.

  • S.L. Benfica B and Rezeknes need consistency to avoid a slide toward the bottom of the form charts.
