League III 2025 Group B Round 30 Recap

League III – Group B Round 30 Recap

The race for promotion in Group B continues to thrill, with just eight matches left in the season. A new favorite may be emerging at the top, while several strong contenders battle for the playoff places and cup spots.

🏆 Promotion Race

FC Helsingør (DNK) maintains their grip on 1st place with 55 points, holding a narrow lead thanks to their consistent performances at both home and away. Their tight defense — conceding only 60 goals — has been key to keeping them atop the table as they aim for direct promotion to League II.

Just behind them, FC Gloria Buzău (ROU) sits in 2nd with 53 points, keeping the pressure on the Danish leaders. Their last five matches have shown mixed form, but with one of the league’s strongest away records, they remain in firm playoff position.

Rayo Vallecano (SPA) holds 3rd place with 52 points, slipping slightly after a loss, but still well within striking distance of the top. Meanwhile, C.D. Santa Clara (POR) and RC Celta de Vigo (SPA) round out the top five, both level on 51 points — only four behind the leader — ensuring the promotion chase remains wide open.

⚔️ Playoff Zone (Ranks 2–9)

From Gloria Buzău (2nd) to Hvidovre IF (8th), just 9 points separate all teams in contention.

  • Villarreal CF (SPA), in 6th with 50 points, are quietly building momentum with three wins in their last five matches.

  • Canadian (URU) and Hvidovre IF (DNK), each on 49 and 46 points, round out the playoff zone.

  • Royal Charleroi S.C. (BEL) in 9th (45 pts) still have a shot at sneaking back into the top eight if their form improves.

Expect a fierce battle through the final rounds, as a single result could shuffle the entire playoff picture.

🤝 Friendly Cup Qualification

FC Porto (POR) currently occupies 10th place with 44 points, positioning them for a Friendly Cup berth. They’ve been solid at home but inconsistent away — something they’ll need to fix if they want to threaten the playoff zone in the final stretch.

👑 King’s Cup Qualification

AFC Unirea Slobozia (ROU) and FC Dinamo București (ROU) sit 11th and 12th, both with 42 and 37 points respectively, qualifying for the King’s Cup as things stand. Unirea has shown some grit recently, but both Romanian clubs will need to find consistency to stay clear of the chasing pack below.

Mid & Lower Table

Mid-table teams such as AC Horsens (DNK), SK Super Nova (LVA), and Royal Antwerp (BEL) hover in the 13th–15th range, too far from playoff contention but safe for another year.

Further down, Rēzeknes FA (BISS), BFC Daugavpils (LVA), and KAA Gent (BEL) have endured tough campaigns.

At the bottom, S.L. Benfica (POR) and Violette Athletic Club (HTI) sit 19th and 20th, with the Haitian side struggling massively — just 19 points and a –58 goal differential. Luckily for them, there’s no relegation in League III, offering a chance to rebuild next season.
