⚽ League III – Group A Round 24 Recap
The race for promotion in Group A is heating up as we move past Round 24 of 38. Every point counts now, with several clubs still dreaming of a spot in League II.
🔝 Top of the Table
Vancouver Whitecaps FC (CND) continue to dominate the league, sitting comfortably in 1st place with 52 points. Their consistent form, with four straight wins, keeps them firmly in line for automatic promotion.
Just behind, Deportivo Garcilaso (PER) remain strong in 2nd place with 46 points, keeping pressure on the leaders and well within the playoff zone. Audax Italiano (CHI) follow in 3rd with 42 points, staying consistent and dangerous.
Excelsior Rotterdam (NEATH) and Pirata FC (PER) round out the top five with 41 and 40 points respectively, both maintaining solid playoff positions.
⚔️ Mid-Table Battle
Chaco Petrolero (BOL) and Club Deportivo Palestino (CHI) are tied on 39 points, battling for playoff stability. Deportes Iquique (CHI) dropped to 8th with 37 points after an inconsistent run, while Dynamo Moscow (RUS) hold on to 9th with 34 points, narrowly keeping their playoff spot.
Toronto FC (CND) sit 10th with 33 points, a position that currently grants Friendly Cup qualification. They’ll need a push to threaten the playoff contenders above.
🏆 Cup Zone
PFC CSKA Moscow (RUS) and ASCE La Linguère (SEN) occupy 11th and 12th with 32 and 31 points, qualifying for the King’s Cup. Both teams have shown flashes of form but will need consistency to move higher.
⚠️ Lower End Struggles
Below them, Casa Sports (SEN), FC Akron Tolyatti (RUS), and Atlético Ottawa (CND) are hovering in mid-lower table safety but with little margin for error.
Meanwhile, AZ Alkmaar (NEATH), Shandong Luneng Taishan (CHN), and SC Heerenveen (NEATH) are in need of wins to avoid slipping further.
At the bottom, AS Dakar Sacré-Cœur (SEN) and Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao (CHN) remain in dire shape, the latter with just 1 point from 24 games — virtually relegated already.
🔮 What’s Next
With 14 rounds to go, Vancouver look strong favorites for the title, but the playoff race from 2nd to 9th is wide open. Every slip could prove costly as teams chase the dream of League II promotion.
