League III – Group C Round 25 Recap
Round 25 delivered another exciting chapter in Group C as teams continue to fight for promotion, playoff qualification, and survival with just 13 rounds left in the season.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER) remain unstoppable at the top of the table with 64 points after a strong home victory, maintaining their firm grip on the automatic promotion spot. They’ve now won three of their last five and continue to look like clear favorites for direct promotion to League II.
Red Star Belgrade (SER) hold second place with 57 points, keeping the pressure on the leaders with consistent form and a solid defensive record. Meanwhile, C.D. Barrio México (CRI) stay close in third with 45 points, although recent inconsistency has slowed their chase for the top spot.
In the playoff zone, Limón F.C. (CTR), FK Vojvodina (SER), Lech Poznań (POL), and Shamrock Rovers (IRL) are all separated by just a few points, making the battle for postseason qualification tighter than ever. TSG Hoffenheim (GER) and Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (CTR) round out the current top nine, both still very much alive in the promotion race.
Just outside the playoff spots, Eintracht Frankfurt (GER) sit in 10th place with 33 points—good enough for the Friendly Cup qualification zone—but they’ll need to find more consistency if they hope to sneak into the top nine.
Below them, Arsenal Kyiv (UKR) and Drogheda United (IRL) occupy 11th and 12th, respectively, which would send them to the King’s Cup. Both sides have struggled to find form lately, and every point will be crucial in the coming rounds.
At the bottom, Olympique de Marseille (FRA) and Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) remain in serious trouble, sitting in the relegation zone. Lyon, with only 7 points and a -76 goal difference, look destined for the drop unless a miracle turnaround occurs.
With 13 rounds left in the season, promotion dreams, playoff ambitions, and relegation fears are all intensifying. The race to League II is heating up in Group C!
