League III 2025 Group A Round 26 Recap

League III – Group A Round 26 Recap

Round 26 of League III brought another exciting week of football as the promotion and playoff races intensified. With 12 rounds left in the season, every point is proving crucial in the battle for League II promotion and cup qualification.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC (CND) remain unstoppable at the top of the table after another victory, extending their unbeaten streak and now holding a 58-point lead. They sit comfortably as the clear promotion favorite, boasting the league’s best attack with 97 goals scored.

Just behind, Deportivo Garcilaso (PER) stay in second with 49 points, maintaining a solid playoff position. Chaco Petrolero (BOL) climbed to third with 45 points, edging closer to second after a string of consistent performances.

Pirata FC (PER) and Excelsior Rotterdam (NEA) are neck and neck in fourth and fifth respectively, both in strong contention for playoff qualification. The mid-table is tight—Deportes Iquique (CHI), Audax Italiano (CHI), and Club Deportivo Palestino (CHI) all remain within the playoff zone, while Toronto FC (CND) hold the final playoff position in ninth despite some mixed results lately.

In the middle of the pack, Dynamo Moscow (RUS) and PFC CSKA Moscow (RUS) sit in 10th and 11th. Dynamo’s spot secures a Friendly Cup qualification, while CSKA currently hold one of the King’s Cup slots. Casa Sports (SEN), in 12th, occupy the other King’s Cup qualifying spot.

Below them, teams like ASCE La Linguère (SEN) and Atlético Ottawa (CND) continue to struggle for consistency, while the lower part of the table is beginning to settle. Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao (CHN) remain rooted to the bottom with just 1 point, having conceded a staggering 124 goals in 26 matches.

With 12 matches remaining, the battle for the final playoff positions is heating up. Every win from here on could make the difference between a shot at promotion or an early end to the season’s ambitions.

Next Round Preview:
Top teams will aim to strengthen their positions as the pressure mounts, while those chasing the final playoff spots must find form quickly to stay in contention for League II dreams.
