League III 2025 Group B Round 21 Recap

League III – Group B: Round 21 Recap

Round 21 of League III Group B saw the top of the table tighten as several promotion hopefuls continued their push toward League II. With 38 rounds in total, every win now carries more weight — and a single slip could mean falling out of the playoff zone.

FC Helsingør (DNK) remain top of the standings with 40 points, though their lead has narrowed. Their strong attack (52 goals scored) and solid defense have been key to their success, but recent inconsistency leaves room for challengers to close in.

RC Celta de Vigo (SPA) sit just one point behind on 39, keeping the Danish side within reach. Celta’s balanced play, especially away from home, continues to be one of their biggest strengths as they push for the automatic promotion spot.

In third place, Rayo Vallecano (SPA) are right on their heels with 38 points, extending their unbeaten streak and making the Spanish clubs a real threat at the top. Their recent form has been excellent, and they’ve emerged as one of the most in-form teams in the group.

FC Gloria Buzău (ROU) and Villarreal CF (SPA) round out the top five with 37 and 36 points, respectively. Both sides have been strong at home and remain firmly in playoff contention.

The mid-table playoff race remains fierce — C.D. Santa Clara (POR), Hvidovre IF (DNK), Royal Charleroi S.C. (BEL), and AFC Unirea Slobozia (ROU) currently hold positions 6th through 9th, separated by only three points. Each club is capable of making a late run for a top-four finish.

Further down, Canadian (URU) and AC Horsens (DNK) sit just outside the playoff spots but are still within striking distance, with 27 points each. Both will need a strong second half of the season to climb into contention.

On the opposite end, Violette Athletic Club (HTI) continue to endure a tough campaign. With only 13 points and a -43 goal differential, survival looks increasingly difficult. Rēzeknes FA/BJSS (LVA) and KAA Gent (BEL) also remain in the danger zone, struggling to find consistent form.

With 17 rounds remaining, the fight for the lone automatic promotion spot is far from decided. FC Helsingør’s narrow lead could vanish quickly, while the battle for the eight playoff places looks like it will go down to the wire.

Next round’s fixtures promise more tension — especially among the top five, where one big win or loss could reshape the standings entirely.
