League III – Group D Round 14 Recap
Round 14 of Group D in the Premier World League III closed out the first stage with dramatic battles at both ends of the table. Here’s how the action unfolded:
Always Ready (BOL) held onto the top spot despite a draw in their final outing, finishing with 26 points and a +9 goal difference. Their consistency across home and away matches secured them first place.
Club Destroyers (BOL) matched their rivals on points (26) after a solid run, including four wins in their last five. Their superior attack with 33 goals made them the group’s highest scorers, but a weaker defense kept them just behind on goal difference.
Plaza Colonia (URU) secured third with 24 points, closing the round strongly despite ups and downs midseason. They edged out Blooming (BOL), who also ended on 24 points but fell short due to goal difference.
San Lorenzo de Almagro (ARG) and Mushuc Runa (ECU) rounded out the top six with 23 points each, showing how tightly contested the group was. Only three points separated first place from sixth.
At the mid-table, L.D.U. Quito (ECU) and Independiente del Valle (ECU) both finished on 22 points, while Deportivo Táchira (VEN) and Zamora F.C. (VEN) ended level on 22 and 21 respectively, highlighting the strong Venezuelan presence.
The lower half saw Bucha (UKR) put together a strong campaign with 21 points despite joining late, finishing above several South American sides. Talleres (ARG) and Metropolitanos (VEN) followed close behind with 21 and 20 points, respectively.
Further down, Bentin Tacna Heroica (PER), Defensa y Justicia (ARG), and AIK Fotboll (SWE) struggled to keep pace, all locked on 16 points. Centro Atlético Fénix (URU) finished with 15, narrowly ahead of the Swedish bottom trio.
The relegation zone became clear as Aledals IK (SWE) (15 pts), Arameisk-Syrianska IF (SWE) (13 pts), and R.S.C. Anderlecht (BEL) (9 pts) rounded out the standings. Anderlecht’s defense was the weakest in the group, conceding 39 goals.
Final Thoughts:
Group D proved to be one of the most competitive brackets, with just five points separating first from ninth. Always Ready and Club Destroyers showed Bolivian strength at the top, while European sides at the bottom couldn’t cope with the intensity of South American and Venezuelan squads. The stage is now set for a thrilling knockout phase.
