๐League III – Group D Round 16 Recap
Round 16 brought plenty of movement across the Group D table as teams battled for playoff positioning and survival.
๐ง๐ด Blooming (BOL) hold on to 1st place with 30 points, despite a recent dip in form. After a run of losses, they still have the league’s best attack (37 goals scored), but their defense continues to leak goals.
๐ช๐จ Mushuc Runa S.C. (ECU) rise to 2nd, level on 29 points, and continue to impress with consistent performances both home and away. They’re one of the most balanced sides in the group.
๐ง๐ด Club Destroyers (BOL) stay close behind in 3rd, also on 29 points, only separated by goal difference. Their attack remains sharp, but defensive issues on the road have cost them key points.
๐ช๐จ Independiente del Valle (ECU) and ๐ง๐ด Always Ready (BOL) are tied on 28 points, making the top five separated by just two points — a thrilling chase for qualification spots.
๐ป๐ช Deportivo Tรกchira (VEN) also join the 28-point cluster, having surged up the table after strong recent form, including multiple wins in their last five outings.
Mid-table sides like L.D.U. Quito (ECU), San Lorenzo de Almagro (ARG), and Club Plaza Colonia (URU) are hanging around the mid-pack, with performances fluctuating between strong home results and away struggles.
Zamora F.C. (VEN) and Talleres de Cรณrdoba (ARG) round out the upper half with 23 and 21 points respectively, both showing resilience but lacking consistency.
At the bottom, Anderlecht (BEL) continue to struggle badly, rooted to 20th place with just 10 points and a –15 goal difference. Swedish sides Aledals IK and Arameisk-Syrianska IF remain in the relegation mix as well, along with AIK Fotboll, all hovering around the danger zone.
