League III 2025 Group D Round 19 Recap -Halfway Point-

League III – Group D Round 19 Recap (Mid-Season Point)

We’ve officially hit the halfway mark of the League III campaign, and Round 19 brought some big results that could define the second half of the season. With promotion to League II on the line for the top team and play-off spots for positions 2 through 9, every match mattered — and the table reflects it.

🥇 Blooming (BOL) – 36 pts

Blooming continue to lead the pack, sitting on top with 36 points after 19 games. They’ve been dominant at home (9W, 1L) and consistent overall, with a strong +8 goal difference. Their form (L W W W L) shows slight dips, but they remain the promotion favorite heading into the second half.

🥈 Club Destroyers (BOL) – 36 pts

Level on points with Blooming, Club Destroyers are keeping the title race alive. Their attacking strength (43 goals scored) has been impressive, and their recent form (W D D W D) shows stability. Goal difference might be the deciding factor between these Bolivian rivals.

🥉 Always Ready (BOL) – 32 pts

Always Ready stay close in third with 32 points. They’ve drawn three of their last five, showing a bit of inconsistency, but remain a serious play-off contender. Their defense (31 conceded) will need tightening if they want to challenge the top two.

⚔️ Chasing the Play-Offs

  • San Lorenzo de Almagro (ARG) and Independiente del Valle (ECU) both sit on 32 points, neck-and-neck with Always Ready. San Lorenzo’s home form (7W, 3L) has been key, while Independiente del Valle remain a tough side despite recent mixed results (W D L L W).

  • Mushuc Runa (ECU) and Plaza Colonia (URU) are only a few points behind on 30 and 29 respectively, and both are still very much in the mix.

  • Deportivo Táchira (VEN) (29 pts) and L.D.U. Quito (ECU) (29 pts) round out the top nine — the crucial play-off zone.

⚠️ Mid-Table Battles

Bucha (UKR) (28 pts) and Bentín Tacna Heroica (PER) (25 pts) are right below the play-off spots, hoping to climb back up. Both sides have shown flashes of brilliance but will need stronger runs in the second half.

⚠️ Struggling Sides

Below them, Zamora F.C. (VEN), Centro Atlético Fénix (URU), and Defensa y Justicia (ARG) hover in the lower mid-table, separated by only a few points. Meanwhile, Metropolitanos F.C., Talleres de Córdoba, and AIK Fotboll continue to battle inconsistencies, unable to string results together.

Bottom of the Table

At the bottom, the Swedish duo Aledals IK and Arameisk-Syrianska IF, along with R.S.C. Anderlecht, are struggling to keep pace. Anderlecht’s defensive issues (44 conceded, -15 GD) continue to hurt them badly. They’ll need a big turnaround to escape the relegation zone in the second half.

🔥 Halfway Highlights

  • Tight title race: Blooming and Club Destroyers are neck-and-neck at 36 points.

  • Play-off chaos: Only 3 points separate 3rd from 9th — every match counts.

  • Bolivian dominance: Three Bolivian teams in the top three!

  • Surprises await: With 19 rounds left, anything can happen in the race for League II promotion.
