Premier World League Season 2026 — Group D Round 32 Recap

Round 32 of the Premier World League Season 2026 produced plenty of goals and several important results in the playoff and cup races. With 32 of 62 games completed, every team still has 30 matches remaining, so there is considerable time for the table to change.

🔥 Round 32 Highlights

Cusco FC 4–1 Wolfsburg
The biggest result among the leading teams came from Cusco FC (1st), who defeated Wolfsburg (4th) 4–1. Cusco's victory strengthens their position at the top and maintains their place in the World Cup of Clubs qualification positions. Wolfsburg remain fourth and therefore still occupy the final World Cup of Clubs spot.

AEK Athens 1–3 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich (5th) continued their push toward the top four with a 3–1 victory over AEK Athens (2nd). Bayern remain just outside the World Cup of Clubs places but are firmly inside the playoff zone. AEK, despite the defeat, remain second and continue to occupy one of the four World Cup positions.

Alianza Atletico 3–0 DC United
A three-goal victory for Alianza Atletico (24th) over DC United (6th) gives the Peruvian side an important boost in the King's Cup zone. DC United, meanwhile, remain comfortably inside the playoff positions despite the setback.

PSV 6–0 SC Freiburg
One of the most dominant performances of the round came from PSV (10th), who demolished SC Freiburg (14th) 6–0. PSV's huge victory keeps them securely inside the playoff places, while Freiburg's heavy defeat could have implications for their position within the top 16.

Deportivo Municipal 4–3 Binacional
A seven-goal thriller saw Deportivo Municipal (12th) edge Binacional (30th) 4–3. Municipal remain inside the playoff zone, while Binacional continue to sit well outside the cup qualification places.

Silkeborg 2–3 Barcelona
Barcelona (13th) claimed an important 3–2 away victory against Silkeborg (15th). Both clubs are inside the playoff zone, making this a particularly valuable three points for Barcelona in the middle-table battle.

Lokomotiv Moscow 2–2 Huracan
Lokomotiv Moscow (7th) were held to a 2–2 draw by Huracan (32nd). Lokomotiv remain comfortably inside the playoffs, but the dropped points will be disappointing against a team currently occupying one of the two relegation spots.

Aston Villa 2–1 Argentinos Juniors
Aston Villa (8th) defeated Argentinos Juniors (17th) 2–1. Villa remain firmly inside the playoff positions, while Argentinos Juniors are just outside the top 16 and currently occupy the first Friendly Cup position.

  • Colo Colo 2–1 Chievo: Colo Colo (16th) secured three points over Chievo (29th) and currently sit exactly on the playoff cutoff.

📊 Qualification Picture After Round 32

With the table shown after Round 32:

🏆 World Cup of Clubs — Top 4

  1. Cusco FC
  2. AEK Athens
  3. Atlético Ciclón
  4. Wolfsburg

These four currently occupy the coveted World Cup of Clubs qualification positions.

🔵 Playoff Zone — Ranks 1–16

The playoff line currently ends with Colo Colo in 16th. The battle around that cutoff is becoming particularly interesting, with Argentinos Juniors in 17th immediately outside the playoffs.

Teams such as Silkeborg (15th), Colo Colo (16th) and Argentinos Juniors (17th) are separated by a narrow margin in the table, making every upcoming result important.

🟢 Friendly Cup — Ranks 17–22

The current Friendly Cup positions include:

  • 17th — Argentinos Juniors
  • 18th — Liverpool
  • 19th — Estudiantes
  • 20th — Werder Bremen
  • 21st — Sydney FC
  • 22nd — Spartmani

These teams are within striking distance of the playoff zone, with 30 rounds still remaining.

🟡 King's Cup — Ranks 23–26

The current King's Cup positions are:

  • 23rd — San Martin
  • 24th — Alianza Atletico
  • 25th — Broncos
  • 26th — Kashima Antlers

There is still plenty of time for these teams to climb toward the Friendly Cup or even the playoff positions.

🔴 Relegation Zone

The bottom two positions are currently:

  • 31st — Banfield
  • 32nd — Huracan

Banfield's 7–2 defeat to Werder Bremen was particularly damaging, while Huracan managed to earn an important point with their 2–2 draw against Lokomotiv Moscow.

🏁 Round 32 Takeaway

The top of Group D remains highly competitive. Cusco FC's 4–1 victory over Wolfsburg was one of the round's defining results, while Atlético Ciclón and AEK Athens continue to hold World Cup of Clubs positions. Bayern Munich and several other teams in the playoff zone remain close enough to challenge the top four.

Further down the table, Colo Colo's victory keeps them on the playoff line, but Argentinos Juniors are immediately behind them, while the Friendly Cup and King's Cup races remain wide open.

With 30 games still to play, Round 32 is far from the final word on any of these qualification battles.
