Round 27 of the Premier World League Season 2026 delivered another action-packed set of results in Group A, with plenty of goals and several important victories for teams battling to stay in the right part of the table.
With 62 games in the season, Round 27 marks an important point in the campaign. There is still a long way to go, but every point is becoming increasingly valuable as teams fight for the playoff places (1st–16th), the World Cup of Clubs spots (1st–4th), and the various cup positions further down the table.
⚽ Round 27 Results
The round began with an entertaining 2–2 draw between Bolognesi (14th) and Arsenal (19th). Both teams had to settle for a point, which could prove particularly valuable for Arsenal as they continue their climb toward the playoff zone.
Alianza Lima (12th) picked up an important 2–1 victory over Sao Paulo (20th). Alianza came into the match in excellent form, and this win keeps them firmly in the playoff picture.
The biggest result of the round came from Cienciano (4th), who demolished Calvary FC (24th) 5–0. It was a statement performance from one of Group A's highest-ranked sides and a massive three points in the race for the top four and World Cup of Clubs qualification.
Universitario (7th) also enjoyed a strong afternoon, defeating Libertad (25th) 3–1. Universitario continues to occupy a playoff position and remains within striking distance of the leading teams.
Meanwhile, Valencia (3rd) suffered a setback, losing 1–2 to Deportivo Cali (6th). With both clubs sitting near the top of the table, this was one of the round's most significant games. Deportivo Cali's victory strengthens its position in the playoff race while denying Valencia valuable points in the battle for the top four.
6🔥 Chelsea and Manchester United Pick Up Wins
Chelsea (26th) earned a valuable 2–1 victory over Real Racing (21st). Chelsea's position makes these three points particularly important as the club looks to move away from the danger zone.
Manchester United (10th) also collected three points, defeating Feyenoord (27th) 2–1. United remains comfortably inside the playoff positions, while Feyenoord continues to have ground to make up.
Another playoff-positioned side, Sporting Cristal (2nd), defeated Santa Fe (15th) 2–1. Sporting Cristal's victory keeps the pressure on the teams around them at the top of the table.
Montreal Impact (28th) produced one of the round's more notable results, beating Deportivo Pereira (17th) 3–2. Montreal needed the victory badly, while Pereira missed an opportunity to strengthen its position around the playoff cutoff.
🌎 Deportivo and Cruz Azul Impress
U de Chile (30th) recorded an important 2–1 win over Atlético Grau (22nd). For U de Chile, victories like this are crucial as they try to climb away from the bottom of the standings.
Cesar Vallejo (2nd) continued its excellent campaign with a 3–1 victory over Aucas (6th). With both teams among the higher-ranked clubs, this was another important result at the top end of Group A.
Hong Kong FC (8th) defeated Danubio (29th) 2–1, keeping itself firmly inside the playoff places.
Sport Boys (1st) also maintained its excellent position, defeating Southam (32nd) 2–0. As the current leader, every victory strengthens Sport Boys' position in the race for automatic qualification among the elite places.
Cruz Azul (13th) defeated Chankas (9th) 3–2 in another important playoff-position battle. The victory gives Cruz Azul three valuable points, while Chankas missed an opportunity to strengthen its position inside the top 16.
🚨 A Big Win for Vancouver
One of the most dramatic games of the round saw Vancouver Whitecaps FC (23rd) defeat Pegasus (31st) 4–3.
Seven goals made this one of the most entertaining matches of Round 27. Vancouver's victory is especially important because the club is sitting outside the playoff places and needs to string together results if it wants to move toward the top 16.
🏆 The Playoff Race
After 27 rounds, the most important dividing line in Group A remains 16th place.
The teams currently occupying positions 1–16 are in the playoff zone, while clubs below 16th need to start making up ground if they want to participate in the postseason.
At the very top, the battle is even more intense. The top four teams qualify for the World Cup of Clubs, meaning that clubs such as Sport Boys, Sporting Cristal, Valencia, Cienciano and the other leading contenders are fighting for much more than just a playoff berth.
There is also plenty of movement around the middle of the table. Teams such as Manchester United, Hong Kong FC, Chelsea, Cruz Azul and others are all trying to secure or improve their playoff positions before the season enters its later stages.

For teams unable to reach the playoff positions, there are still other objectives.
17th–22nd: Friendly Cup qualification
23rd–26th: King's Cup qualification
27th–32nd: Relegation battle
That makes the lower half of the table just as interesting as the top. A few victories can completely change a team's situation.
The results for Montreal Impact, U de Chile and Vancouver Whitecaps FC are particularly significant because these teams are currently outside the playoff positions and need points to move up the standings.
At the other end, teams sitting in the 23rd–26th range have to be careful. They are currently in King's Cup territory, but the relegation places are immediately below them.
