League III Group A Round 8 Recap

Here’s the Group A Round 8 recap for League III play!

🔹 Group A – Round 8 Recap (League III)

Vancouver Whitecaps FC (CND) remain top of the table after 8 matches, sitting at 20 points. Their strong attack (28 goals scored) and unbeaten home record (4 wins out of 4) keep them leading the group.

Deportivo Garcilaso (PER) stay close behind in 2nd place with 18 points. They have also been sharp offensively with 24 goals, though their defense shows more vulnerability than Vancouver’s.

Chaco Petrolero (BOL) climb into 3rd place with 18 points as well, tied with Garcilaso but behind on goal difference. Their consistent scoring has kept them competitive.

Toronto FC (CND) sit 4th with 16 points, keeping pressure on the top three despite a setback in their recent away fixtures.

The mid-table sees Excelsior Rotterdam (NEATH) and Audax Italiano (CHI) both on 14 points, while Deportes Iquique (CHI) and Pirata FC (PER) hover just below with 13 points each, leaving a very tight race from 5th to 8th.

ASCE La Liguiniere (SEN) dropped to 9th, losing ground after earlier promise, while Dynamo Moscow (RUS) and Atlético Ottawa (CND) sit mid-table, each on 11 points.

At the lower end, CSKA Moscow (RUS) (9 pts), Casa Sports (SEN) (9 pts), and SC Heerenveen (NEATH) (9 pts) are struggling to gain momentum.
