Here’s the recap for Group B Round 36 of the Premier World League:

Group B Round 36 Recap – Premier World League

The curtain has closed on Group B, and it was a thrilling finish that saw Melgar (PER) crowned champions with 84 points. Their consistency, with just 6 losses all season, gave them the edge in one of the tightest races across the league.

Houston Dynamo (USA) pushed hard to the end, finishing second with 76 points, while Gamba Osaka (JAP) completed the podium on 73 points, showcasing Japanese football’s strong presence in this competition.

Boca Juniors (ARG) claimed fourth on 69 points, just ahead of Columbus Crew (USA) and Flamengo (BRA), who rounded out the top six. Kawasaki Frontale (JAP) also secured a top-seven spot with 63 points, keeping the Japanese clubs well represented at the sharp end of the standings.

On the other hand, the bottom of the table painted a tougher picture. Chivas (MEX) and Inter Miami (USA) had seasons to forget, ending on 20 and 12 points respectively. Inter Miami in particular struggled badly, winning just three games all year and finishing with a staggering -95 goal difference.

Just above them, Miami FC (USA), Sociedade (BRA), and Yokohama F. Marinos (JAP) also fell into the relegation zone, each unable to find the momentum to climb out in the final stretch.

The middle of the table saw tight battles, with Olimpia (PAR), Africa Sports FC (IVC), and Zamalek SC (EG) staying clear of danger thanks to clutch results in the closing rounds, while clubs like Chicago Fire (USA) and Atlético Nacional (COL) couldn’t quite reach the top half despite competitive performances.

In summary, Group B ended with Melgar’s dominance, strong runs from clubs in the Americas and Asia, and a dramatic relegation battle that ultimately claimed five teams at the bottom.
