League III Group C Round 7 Recap

Here’s the full Round 7 Recap of Group C – League III!

🔹 Group C – Round 7 Recap (League III)

🔝 Top of the Table

Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER) are dominating the group, sitting comfortably in 1st place with 18 points. With 27 goals scored and only 3 conceded (+24 GD), they boast the league’s best attack and defense combination. Their home form has been flawless (4 wins out of 4, 21 goals scored, none conceded). They are unbeaten and clearly the team to beat.

FK Vojvodina (SER) remain strong in 2nd with 16 points. They’ve scored 16 goals while conceding only 6, riding a wave of consistency and defensive stability. Their away results have been just as impressive as their home form.

Limón F.C. (CRC) sit in 3rd with 13 points, tied with Shamrock Rovers. Limón’s strength has been their balanced scoring (15 goals) and resilience at home, where they remain unbeaten (3 wins, 1 draw).

Shamrock Rovers F.C. (IRL) also hold 13 points, showcasing strong offense (13 goals) but some inconsistency, especially away from home. Still, they remain in the mix for the top four.

Olympique de Marseille (FRA) round out the top five with 12 points. Marseille have had mixed results, struggling a little defensively (conceding 12 goals), but their attack keeps them competitive.

⚔️ Mid-Table Movers

  • Drogheda United (IRL) (12 pts) continue to punch above expectations, with strong scoring (17 goals) but a leaky defense (14 conceded).

  • FK Partizan (SER) also sit on 12 points, tied with Drogheda and Marseille, showing how tight the mid-table is.

  • C.D. Barrio México (CRC) hold 11 points, relying heavily on home results. Their away record has been weaker (2 scored, 7 conceded).

  • TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (GER) (10 pts) and Lech Poznań (POL) (10 pts) both sit just outside the top 8, battling inconsistency but keeping themselves in touching distance of the upper spots.

🟡 Mid-to-Lower Pack

  • Eintracht Frankfurt (GER) (9 pts) find themselves in an unusual mid-table position, having conceded 10 goals and struggling to turn draws into wins.

  • FC Kramatorsk (UKR) and Red Star Belgrade (SER) are level on 9 points, but Kramatorsk’s –2 GD highlights their defensive weakness, while Red Star have been poor away from home.

  • Bohemian F.C. (IRL) sit on 8 points, showing fight but lacking consistency in finishing games.

  • Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (CRC) are just behind with 7 points, slipping after back-to-back defeats.

🔻 Bottom of the Table

  • FC Arsenal Kyiv (UKR) (7 pts) and Górnik Zabrze (POL) (7 pts) hover just above the relegation zone, but poor away results are holding them down.

  • Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) shockingly sit 17th with 6 points, despite scoring 13 goals. Their –15 GD (28 conceded) shows their defensive collapse has been their undoing.

  • KS Cracovia (POL) (4 pts) are in big trouble, having scored just 6 goals while conceding 14. Their away form has been disastrous.

  • FSC Bukovyna Chernivtsi (UKR) remain bottom with 2 points. They have yet to win a game, conceding 22 goals while scoring only 14. Their away record (10 conceded, 4 scored) makes survival look increasingly unlikely.

📊 Key Takeaways After Round 7

  • Bayer Leverkusen are in a league of their own, unbeaten and steamrolling opponents.

  • The fight for 2nd to 6th is incredibly tight, with five teams within 3 points of each other.

  • Defensive struggles are shaping the lower half: Lyonnais and Bukovyna in particular are collapsing under pressure.

  • Eintracht Frankfurt and Red Star are underperforming relative to expectations, stuck in mid-table instead of challenging for the top.
