League III Group B Round 10 Recap

Here’s a full recap of Group B Round 10 of League III play!

🔝 Top of the Table

  • Royal Charleroi S.C. (BEL) leap into 1st place with 18 points despite a recent slip (2 losses in their last 5). Their strong home form (6 wins out of 6) is carrying them, with 25 goals scored at home, the highest in the group.

  • Hvidovre IF (DNK) climb into 2nd on 17 points, tied with the leaders but trailing on goal difference. They’ve been excellent defensively, conceding just 12 goals overall.

  • FC Gloria Buzău (ROU) also sit on 17 points in 3rd, showing balance in attack and defense. Their away record (2W, 2D, 1L) has kept them competitive.

  • Villarreal CF (SPA) round out the top four with 17 points, only separated by goal difference from the teams above. They’ve been inconsistent lately (W, L, W, L, W), but still remain a contender.

⚔️ The Chasing Pack

  • RC Celta de Vigo (SPA) are 5th with 17 points, just one goal behind Villarreal. Their solid home form (3W, 2D, 0L) has been the key.

  • Rayo Vallecano (SPA) sit 6th with 16 points, also tightly packed in the race. Their attack has produced 19 goals, but defensive gaps are showing.

  • FC Helsingør (DNK) (15 pts) and SK Super Nova (LVA) (15 pts) both keep themselves in mid-table contention. Helsingør’s defense (20 goals conceded) could drag them down if not addressed.

  • FC Porto (POR) are 9th with 14 points after a slow start but look to be stabilizing with recent better results.

⚖️ Mid-Table Struggles

  • C.D. Santa Clara (POR) are level with Porto on 14 points, relying heavily on strong home form (3W, 2D, 0L). Away struggles (-7 GD) remain their Achilles heel.

  • Royal Antwerp F.C. (BEL) and AC Horsens (DNK) both sit on 13 and 14 points, mid-table battlers with no real momentum.

  • AFC Unirea Slobozia (ROU) (12 pts) and FC Dinamo București (ROU) (12 pts) have been inconsistent, leaving them outside the top half.

⚠️ Lower Half

  • KAA Gent (BEL) and Canadian (URU) are struggling at 11 points each. Both sides lack consistency, with Canadian’s defense already conceding 23 goals.

  • Rēzeknes FA/BJSS (LVA) (9 pts) hover just above the relegation zone, suffering 6 defeats in 10 matches.

  • BFC Daugavpils (LVA) are down on 8 points, conceding 28 goals already — the joint-worst defense in the group.

❌ Bottom of the Table

  • Violette Athletic Club (HTI) (6 pts) sit in 19th, with just 1 win in 10 matches. Their -15 GD shows major issues at both ends.

  • S.L. Benfica (POR) shockingly sit last with only 6 points. Despite being hard to beat at home, their away form has been disastrous (0W, 1D, 5L) and they’ve conceded 20 goals on the road.

📊 Key Storylines After Round 10

  • Royal Charleroi, Hvidovre, Gloria Buzău, and Villarreal are separated by just 1 point at the top — this is the tightest title race so far.

  • The Spanish trio (Celta, Villarreal, Rayo) are all within striking distance, making Spain the strongest represented nation in Group B.

  • Benfica’s struggles continue — they are bottom alongside Violette despite expectations of a top-half finish.

  • Just 4 points separate 1st from 9th, meaning the table could change dramatically in the next couple of rounds.
