League III Group B Round 9 Recap

Here’s a recap for Group B, Round 9 of League III play!

⚽ Group B – Round 9 Recap

FC Gloria Buzău (ROU) take over the top spot with 18 points, winning three of their last four and showing great consistency. Their home form has been especially solid with 10 goals scored and only 4 conceded.

Villarreal CF (SPA) rise into second on 17 points, also unbeaten in their last five (WWDWD). They’ve been sharp both home and away, making them one of the strongest contenders for the group lead.

RC Celta de Vigo (SPA) slide down to third with 17 points, struggling recently with two losses in their last three matches. They’re still scoring well but need to steady their defense to stay in the title race.

Hvidovre IF (DNK) and Rayo Vallecano (SPA) are right behind on 17 and 16 points respectively, both keeping pace with the leaders. Hvidovre’s home dominance (13–6 goal difference) is keeping them in contention, while Rayo’s balanced play has earned them valuable results.

In mid-table, FC Porto and AC Horsens sit on 14 and 13 points, keeping themselves within striking distance of the top half. Royal Charleroi (BEL) is also climbing with 15 points, only three behind first place.

At the bottom, S.L. Benfica (POR) are in deep trouble with just 3 points and no wins after nine rounds. They’ve conceded 26 goals, the worst in the group, and are still searching for form. Violette AC (HTI) and Canadian (URU) hover just above them on 6 points each, also winless in their last five.

🏆 Key Takeaways:

  • FC Gloria Buzău move into first with strong home form.

  • Villarreal and Celta de Vigo battle closely for top-three spots.

  • Hvidovre and Rayo Vallecano are dangerous challengers just behind.
