League III Group B Round 3 Recap

Here’s the Group B Round 3 recap of League III play!

🔝 Top of the Table

  • RC Celta de Vigo (1st, 9 pts) are the standout early leaders, winning all three matches without conceding a goal. Their defense has been perfect, giving them the best start in the group.

  • SK Super Nova (2nd, 7 pts) remain unbeaten and sit just two points back. A solid away win kept them right in the hunt.

  • Hvidovre IF (3rd, 7 pts) are tied on points with Super Nova, showing strong form after back-to-back victories.

🔹 Chasing Pack

  • Royal Charleroi S.C. (4th, 6 pts) and Villarreal CF (5th, 6 pts) both bounced back from early setbacks to keep themselves close to the leaders.

  • AFC Unirea Slobozia (6th, 6 pts) matched them with a crucial home win to stay in the upper half.

  • BFC Daugavpils (7th, 5 pts) are unbeaten so far with one win and two draws, showing stability.

  • KAA Gent (8th, 5 pts) mirror them with a solid start, also avoiding defeat in their first three.

⚖️ Mid-Table Mix

  • Rēzeknes FA/BJSS (9th, 4 pts) grabbed a key home win to climb into mid-table safety.

  • FC Porto (10th, 4 pts) and Gloria Buzău (11th, 3 pts) are still finding their rhythm, relying on narrow scorelines.

  • Rayo Vallecano (12th, 3 pts) struggled early with two defeats but managed to secure their first points to steady themselves.

🔻 Lower Half Struggles

  • FC Helsingør (13th, 2 pts), Violette AC (14th, 2 pts), and AC Horsens (15th, 2 pts) are already falling behind, with defensive weaknesses costing them matches.

  • Dinamo București (16th, 1 pt) have yet to win, relying only on a draw for their single point.

  • C.D. Santa Clara (17th, 2 pts) are also winless, showing problems in converting opportunities into victories.

❌ Bottom of the Table

  • SL Benfica (18th, 1 pt) are the shock of the group so far, collecting just one point despite their pedigree.

  • Royal Antwerp (19th, 1 pt) mirror their struggles with poor defensive records dragging them down.

  • Canadian (20th, 1 pt) sit last on goal difference after three matches, conceding 9 goals already.

Summary:
Celta de Vigo are the perfect starters, dominating with a 100% record and zero goals conceded. Super Nova and Hvidovre are close behind, while several teams (Charleroi, Villarreal, Unirea) remain firmly in the chase. At the other end, Benfica, Antwerp, and Canadian are the biggest disappointments so far, rooted at the bottom with just a single point each.
