League II 2026 Group A Round 13 Recap

After 13 of 46 rounds, the table is starting to take real shape, with clear separation between promotion contenders, playoff hopefuls, and relegation battlers.

🥇 Promotion Race

1st place – Chankas CYC (PER)
Chankas CYC remain top of Group A and currently hold the automatic promotion spot to the World Premier League. With 29 points, a strong goal difference, and excellent recent form, they’ve been the most consistent side so far. Plenty of football remains, but they’ve set the early benchmark.

🔥 Playoff Zone (2nd–9th)

These teams are currently on track for the promotion play-offs:

  • 2nd – AC Milan (ITA)

  • 3rd – Pachuca (MEX)

  • 4th – Vancouver Whitecaps (CAN)

  • 5th – Cartaginés (CRC)

  • 6th – Ajax (NEA)

  • 7th – Caracas FC (VEN)

  • 8th – Fortaleza (BRA)

  • 9th – Fulham (UK)

This pack is extremely tight, with only a handful of points separating several positions. A single win or loss could easily reshuffle the order, making the playoff race one of the most competitive storylines in Group A.

⚖️ Cup Qualification Spots

  • 10th – T. Pushkar Mazembe
Currently qualifies for the Friendly Cup. Still within touching distance of the playoff zone, so a late push upward is very possible.

  • 11th – FC Copenhagen (DEN)
Sitting in the King’s Cup position. Results need to improve quickly to avoid slipping further down the table.

🚨 Relegation Zone

  • 23rd – Raja (MOR)

  • 24th – Defence Force (TB)

These two clubs currently occupy the relegation places to League III. With negative goal differences and poor recent form, they’re already under heavy pressure—but with 33 rounds left, survival is still mathematically achievable.

📌 Round 13 Takeaway

  • Chankas CYC lead the way toward automatic promotion

  • The playoff battle (2nd–9th) is fierce and wide open

  • Mid-table teams are fighting to avoid slipping into cup-only positions

  • The relegation battle is forming early, but nothing is decided yet

With 33 rounds still to play, expect plenty of twists, momentum swings, and dramatic movement across the table as the 2026 season rolls on.
