⚽ League 2 – Group C
2026 Season • Round 11 Recap
(46-round season)
After 11 rounds, Group C is developing into a tightly packed division, with a clear leader at the top, a fierce playoff battle in the middle, and growing pressure at the bottom of the table.
🔝 Automatic Promotion Spot
Vélez Sarsfield (ARG) lead Group C with 24 points and currently occupy the automatic promotion place to the World Premier League. Their balanced performances and steady results have given them a small but valuable advantage over the chasing pack.
Close behind, Cruzeiro (BRA) remain a serious threat, also sitting on 23 points and ready to capitalize on any slip from the leaders.
🎯 Playoff Positions (2nd–9th)
The playoff race is already extremely competitive:
-
Everton (UK) continue to impress and are firmly inside the promotion picture.
-
Toluca (MEX) and Tigre (ARG) maintain strong mid-table momentum and remain well-positioned for playoff qualification.
-
FC Toulouse (FRA) and Limón FC (CRC) are locked in tight battles, trading points week to week.
-
Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER) and CSKA Moscow (RUS) currently complete the playoff zone, though neither side has room for complacency.
With minimal separation between these teams, one strong run could completely reshape the standings.
🟡 Cup Qualification Places
-
Real Salt Lake (USA) sit in 10th place, earning the Friendly Cup spot for now.
-
Braga (POR) hold 11th, which qualifies them for the King’s Cup.
Both clubs remain close enough to the playoff line to realistically push higher as the season progresses.
🔻 Relegation Zone
The bottom of Group C is beginning to look dangerous:
-
C.D. Numancia (SPA) and Red Bull Bragantino (BRA) occupy the final two positions and would be relegated to League III if the season ended today.
-
General Díaz (PAR) and Vitesse (NEATH) hover just above the drop zone and remain under serious threat.
With so many matches still to come, survival is far from decided—but early warning signs are clear.
