League II 2026 Group A Round 12 Recap

League 2 – Group A

2026 Season • Round 12 Recap (of 46)

After 12 rounds, the League 2 Group A table is starting to take shape, but with 34 matches still to play, nothing is locked in yet.

🔝 Promotion Race

AC Milan (ITA) sit on top of the standings with 26 points, holding the all-important automatic promotion spot to the World Premier League. Their consistent form and strong goal difference give them a narrow but meaningful edge at this stage.

🔥 Playoff Zone (2nd–9th)

The playoff battle is already intense:

  • Chankas (CYC/PER) remain close behind in 2nd, level on points with the leader.

  • Vancouver Whitecaps (CAN) and Pachuca (MEX) round out the top four, both showing promotion credentials.

  • Fortaleza (BRA), Ajax (NE), Cartaginés (CRC), Caracas FC (VEN), and Fulham (UK) currently complete the playoff places.

With just a few points separating most of these teams, the playoff line is extremely volatile—one good or bad run could change everything.

⚠️ Middle Ground

  • FC Copenhagen (DEN) in 10th would qualify for the Friendly Cup if the season ended now.

  • Botafogo (BRA) sit 11th, currently in position for the King’s Cup.

Both clubs are within striking distance of the playoffs, keeping hopes alive with plenty of football still ahead.

🚨 Relegation Battle

At the bottom, the danger zone is already forming:

  • FC Midtjylland (DEN) and Raja (MOR) occupy the final two spots and would be relegated to League III if the season ended today.

However, with such a long season, even early-season strugglers still have time to recover.

⏳ Big Picture

  • 1st place → Promotion to World Premier League

  • 2nd–9th → Playoffs

  • 10th → Friendly Cup

  • 11th → King’s Cup

  • 23rd–24th → Relegation to League III

With only 12 of 46 rounds completed, expect plenty of twists ahead as teams push for promotion, fight for playoff survival, or try to escape relegation danger.
