League II 2026 Group C Round 10 Recap

🏆 League 2 – Group C

2026 Season • Round 10 Recap (of 46)

Ten rounds into the season, Group C is delivering a tight promotion race, a congested playoff picture, and early warning signs at the bottom of the table.

🔝 Automatic Promotion Spot

Vélez Sarsfield (ARG) lead the group with 23 points, holding the automatic promotion place to the World Premier League. Their strong start has made them the pace-setters as the division settles in.

🎯 Playoff Positions (2nd–9th)

The playoff race is extremely competitive, with several clubs separated by just a few points:

  • 2nd: Cruzeiro (BRA) – Right on Vélez’s heels and pushing hard for promotion.

  • 3rd: Limón FC (CTR) – Impressive consistency keeps them firmly in the playoff zone.

  • 4th: Everton (UK) – Solid performances keep them well-positioned.

  • 5th: FC Toulouse (FRA) – Staying competitive with key results at the right time.

  • 6th: Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER) – Reliable form keeps them in the mix.

  • 7th: Braga (POR) – Holding a playoff place but under pressure.

  • 8th: Toluca (MEX) – Close enough to climb with a strong run.

  • 9th: Tigre (ARG) – Just inside the playoff line after ten rounds.

Every result matters, as just a few points separate 2nd from 9th.

🏟️ Cup Qualification Spots

  • 10th: Istres (FRA) – Currently qualifying for the Friendly Cup, narrowly missing out on the playoffs.

  • 11th: CSKA Moscow (RUS) – Sitting in the King’s Cup position, still within reach of moving up.

⚠️ Relegation Zone

At the bottom of the table, the pressure is already mounting:

  • 23rd: CD Numancia (SPA)

  • 24th: Red Bull Bragantino (BRA)

Both clubs are currently in the relegation spots to League III and will need a strong turnaround with many matches still to play.

📊 Season Outlook

With 36 rounds remaining in this 46-round season, Group C remains wide open:

  • Vélez setting the early pace

  • A crowded and volatile playoff battle

  • Relegation danger beginning to take shape

Round 10 has laid the groundwork — but there’s a long road still ahead in League 2 Group C.
