League II – Group B
Round 8 Recap (46-Round Season)
After eight rounds, Group B is developing into a highly competitive section, with a clear leader at the top, a tightly packed playoff race, and early relegation worries beginning to surface.
🥇 Automatic Promotion (1st Place)
Atalanta BC (ITA) lead Group B after Round 8 and currently occupy the automatic promotion spot to the World Premier League. With six wins from eight matches and an impressive points tally, Atalanta have made a strong early statement, though the margin to the chasing pack is far from comfortable.
🔥 Playoff Zone (2nd–9th)
The fight for playoff places is extremely close and intense:
-
Inter (ITA) and FC Schalke 04 (GER) sit just behind the leaders and remain firmly in promotion contention.
-
Vasco da Gama (BRA) and Hannover 96 (GER) continue to show consistency and are well positioned inside the top half.
-
Deportivo FAS (GUA), Real Betis (SPA), Lille OSC (FRA), and Atlético Mineiro (BRA) currently round out the top nine.
With minimal separation between many of these teams, momentum swings could dramatically reshape the playoff picture in the coming rounds.
🎟️ Special Qualification Spots
-
10th place – Friendly Cup: FC Ka (BRA) sit just outside the playoff zone and would qualify for the Friendly Cup if the season ended now.
-
11th place – King’s Cup: Stade Brestois 29 (FRA) currently hold the King’s Cup spot, though they remain within touching distance of the playoff positions.
⚠️ Relegation Zone
At the bottom of the table, early danger signs are clear:
-
FC Porto (POR) and Cagliari Calcio (ITA) occupy the final two places and are currently set for relegation to League III.
-
Clubs just above them, including Philadelphia Ukrainian SC and Africa Sports FC, will be eager to pull clear as the season progresses.
📊 Overall Outlook
With 38 rounds still to play, Group B remains wide open. Atalanta BC have taken an early lead, but the playoff battle is tightly packed, and even teams near the bottom still have ample time to recover in this long and demanding season.
