League II 2026 Group C Round 13 Recap

Here’s your League 2 – Group C | 2026 Season | Round 13 Recap ⚽📈

With 13 of 46 rounds completed, Group C is turning into a tense and well-balanced division, featuring a narrow promotion race at the top, a packed playoff zone, and growing danger at the bottom.

🥇 Automatic Promotion Spot

1st – Vélez Sarsfield (ARG)
Vélez Sarsfield lead Group C with 28 points and currently occupy the automatic promotion place to the World Premier League. Their consistency and solid goal difference have kept them just ahead of the chasing pack, but the margin is slim.

🔥 Playoff Positions (2nd–9th)

The battle for the promotion play-offs is extremely close, with several clubs right on each other’s heels:

  • 2nd – Cruzeiro (BRA)

  • 3rd – Everton (UK)

  • 4th – Tigre (ARG)

  • 5th – Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER)

  • 6th – Real Salt Lake (USA)

  • 7th – Toluca (MEX)

  • 8th – Limón FC (CRC)

  • 9th – Istres FC (FRA)

Only a few points separate much of this group, meaning positions could change rapidly as the season progresses.

🏆 Cup Qualification Places

  • 10th – FC Toulouse (FRA)
Currently in the Friendly Cup qualification spot. Still within reach of the playoff places with a strong run.

  • 11th – CSKA Moscow (RUS)
Holding the King’s Cup position. A crucial area of the table where one bad stretch could lead to a deeper slide.

🚨 Relegation Zone

  • 23rd – Numancia (ESP)

  • 24th – Red Bull Bragantino (BRA)

These two sides are presently set for relegation to League III. With negative goal differences and poor recent form, they’ll need a significant turnaround to escape danger.

📌 Round 13 Overview

  • Vélez Sarsfield narrowly lead the promotion race

  • The playoff zone (2nd–9th) is tightly packed and highly competitive

  • Mid-table teams remain very much alive in the race for promotion

  • The relegation battle is beginning to take shape, but nothing is settled yet

With 33 matches still to play, Group C promises plenty of movement, momentum shifts, and drama as clubs chase promotion dreams—or fight for survival.
