We’ve officially reached the halfway stage, and Group C is delivering a fierce promotion and relegation battle!
🔝 Automatic Promotion Spot
1️⃣ Real Salt Lake (USA) – 52 pts
Real Salt Lake sit at the summit after 24 rounds and currently hold the automatic promotion place to the World Premier League. With 16 wins and a strong +20 goal difference, they’ve built a solid foundation — but the gap behind them is small enough to keep the pressure on.
🎯 Playoff Zone (2nd–9th)
2️⃣ Vélez Sarsfield (ARG) – 48 pts
Just four points off the top, Vélez are firmly in the title race. Their attacking balance keeps them dangerous week in, week out.
3️⃣ Cruzeiro (BRA) – 46 pts
4️⃣ Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER) – 46 pts
Cruzeiro and Leverkusen are level on points and locked in a tight battle for positioning. Leverkusen’s +25 goal difference could be crucial in the long run.
5️⃣ Limón FC (CTR) – 46 pts
An impressive campaign so far — matching the European and Brazilian giants stride for stride.
6️⃣ Santos (BRA) – 43 pts
Strong recent form keeps Santos comfortably in the playoff picture.
7️⃣ Everton (UK) – 42 pts
8️⃣ Toluca (MEX) – 41 pts
9️⃣ Tigre (ARG) – 41 pts
The final playoff places are incredibly tight. Just one or two matches could completely reshuffle spots 6 through 9.
🏅 Special Qualification Spots
🔟 Twente (NED) – 36 pts
Currently in the Friendly Cup qualification spot. They remain within reach of the playoff zone but need a strong run.
1️⃣1️⃣ Tottenham (UK) – 36 pts
Holding the King’s Cup position, level on points with Twente but trailing in the standings order.
⚖️ Mid-Table Pressure
From Braga (30 pts) down through Jocoro FC, Forge FC Hamilton, FC Toulouse, and CSKA Moscow, the middle of the table is tightly packed. A five-point swing could dramatically alter playoff hopes.
AJ Auxerre and Vitesses are hovering just above the relegation conversation — they’ll want to create separation quickly.
🚨 Relegation Zone
23️⃣ C.D. Numancia (SPA) – 16 pts
Struggling defensively and in urgent need of consistency.
24️⃣ Red Bull Bragantino (BRA) – 14 pts
Bottom of the table and facing serious danger. With 67 goals conceded and just 3 wins all season, survival will require a major turnaround in the second half.
Just above them, Beijing Guoan (22 pts) and General Díaz (24 pts) are also in dangerous territory.
