League II 2026 Group C Round 19 Recap

League 2 – Group C | 2026 Season | Round 19 Recap

Nineteen rounds into this 46-match marathon, the table is tightening at the top while the relegation fight is beginning to take shape. Here’s how things stand after Round 19.

🔝 Promotion Race

Real Salt Lake lead the group with 41 points, holding the crucial 1st place automatic promotion spot to the World Premier League. Their consistent form keeps them narrowly ahead in a very competitive top tier.

Close behind:

  • Cruzeiro – 39 pts

  • Vélez Sarsfield – 39 pts

  • Limón FC – 35 pts

  • Bayer Leverkusen – 33 pts

  • Twente – 33 pts

  • Everton – 33 pts

  • Tigre – 33 pts

  • Toluca – 32 pts

The playoff race (2nd–9th) is extremely tight, with only a few points separating multiple clubs. A single strong or poor run could quickly reshuffle the standings.

🎯 Qualification Spots

  • 10th – Tottenham (30 pts) currently qualifies for the Friendly Cup.

  • 11th – Santos (28 pts) hold the King’s Cup position.

Several teams sit just behind and remain within striking distance of these mid-table objectives.

⚠️ Relegation Zone

At the bottom of the table, danger is looming:

  • 23rd – C.D. Numancia (11 pts)

  • 24th – Bahia (9 pts)

These two currently occupy the relegation spots to League III. With more than half the season remaining, survival is still possible, but both sides must find form quickly.

📊 Season Outlook

With 27 rounds still to play, nothing is settled. Real Salt Lake hold the advantage for automatic promotion, but the playoff battle is crowded and volatile. Meanwhile, the relegation fight is only beginning and could intensify rapidly in the coming rounds.

Round 20 will be crucial as teams push to gain momentum in this long and demanding season.
