At the halfway mark of the 46-round campaign, Group C is turning into one of the most competitive divisions across League 2. The promotion race is tight, the playoff line is crowded, and the relegation battle is beginning to take shape.
🥇 Automatic Promotion Spot
1️⃣ Real Salt Lake – 49 pts
RSL leads the table at the midway point and currently holds the lone automatic promotion place to the World Premier League. With 15 wins and 55 goals scored, they’ve combined consistency and attacking power. However, the margin at the top is razor thin.
🔥 Playoff Positions (2nd–9th)
2️⃣ Cruzeiro – 46 pts
Just three points off first, Cruzeiro remain firmly in the title hunt.
3️⃣ Vélez Sarsfield – 45 pts
4️⃣ Bayer 04 Leverkusen – 43 pts
5️⃣ Limón FC – 43 pts
These four are within striking distance of the summit. One strong run could flip the standings quickly.
6️⃣ Santos – 40 pts
7️⃣ Tigre – 40 pts
8️⃣ Everton – 39 pts
9️⃣ Toluca – 38 pts
The playoff race is extremely congested. Only two points separate 6th from 9th, meaning every result is now critical.
🎯 Cup Qualification Spots
10️⃣ FC Twente – 36 pts
Currently positioned for the Friendly Cup. They are just two points off the playoffs.
11️⃣ Tottenham Hotspur – 36 pts
Sits in the King’s Cup spot, level on points with Twente but just outside the playoff zone.
