League II 2026 Group B Round 19 Recap

League 2 – Group B | 2026 Season | Round 19 Recap

Round 19 closes the opening stretch of this long 46-round campaign, and the table is already shaping into clear battles for promotion, playoffs, and survival.

🔝 Title & Promotion Race

At the top, FC Schalke 04 and Vasco Da Gama are locked together on 41 points after 19 matches. Schalke currently hold 1st place on goal difference and would earn direct promotion to the World Premier League if the season ended today. Vasco remain right behind, firmly inside the promotion fight.

Just behind them, Inter Milan (39 pts) and Atalanta (39 pts) keep strong pressure on the leaders, with Hannover 96 (37 pts) and Fiorentina (36 pts) still well within striking distance. The top six are beginning to separate slightly from the rest, but with 27 rounds left, the race is wide open.

🎯 Playoff Zone (2nd–9th)

As it stands, the playoff positions are held by:

  1. Vasco Da Gama – 41 pts

  2. Inter Milan – 39 pts

  3. Atalanta – 39 pts

  4. Hannover 96 – 37 pts

  5. Fiorentina – 36 pts

  6. Atlético Mineiro – 32 pts

  7. Arminia Bielefeld – 29 pts

  8. Desna – 27 pts

These teams are currently on course for the promotion playoffs, though the mid-table remains tight and could shift quickly.

🏆 Mid-Table Targets

  • 10th – Busan Park (25 pts) would qualify for the Friendly Cup.

  • 11th – Real Betis (25 pts) currently sit in the King’s Cup spot.

Both positions are highly contested with several teams close behind.

⚠️ Relegation Battle

At the bottom, the pressure is building:

  • 23rd – Monaco FC (15 pts)

  • 24th – Africa Sports (12 pts)

If the season ended now, these two would be relegated to League III. With more than half the season remaining, survival is still possible, but results must improve quickly.

📊 Season Outlook

With 27 rounds still to play, nothing is decided yet. The promotion race is tight, the playoff battle is crowded, and the relegation fight is only beginning. Consistency over the long season will be the key to success.

Stay tuned for Round 20 as the road to promotion — and the fight for survival — continues.
