Premier World League – Group D Round 17 Recap & Table Movement

Round 17 of the Premier World League’s Group D brought drama at both ends of the table, with teams battling for the top spots and others desperately trying to escape the relegation fight.

AEK Athens (GRE) reclaimed 1st place after climbing one spot, now sitting on 42 points following another strong performance. Their rise came at the expense of DC United (USA), who slipped down to 2nd despite still looking dangerous with 40 points. Pyramids FC (EGY) held on to 3rd with 38 points, keeping themselves firmly in contention.

The upper-mid section saw Real Madrid (SPA) edge up into 7th, pushing Bayern Munich (GER)—who also gained a spot—to 8th. Cusco FC (PER) and Sydney FC (NZ) stayed steady in 4th and 5th, maintaining pressure on the leaders.

One of the round’s standout movers was Broncos (HON), jumping two places to 12th after a much-needed win. The survival battle also saw a shake-up—Cesar Vallejo (PER) climbed two spots to 17th, moving out of the relegation zone, while Deportivo Municipal (PER) made the biggest leap of the week, shooting up four places to 20th.

On the flip side, Binacional (PER) slipped two places to 18th, leaving them hovering dangerously above the drop. El Nacional (ECU) suffered one of the steepest falls, dropping four places to 25th, and Atlético Ciclón (BOL) also plunged four spots to 30th, deepening their relegation worries.

At the very bottom, Lokomotiv Moscow (RUS), Huracan (URU), and Atlético Ciclón (BOL) face an uphill climb to safety, while the mid-to-lower section remains a tense battleground with only a point or two separating safety from the drop zone.

Biggest Climbers: Deportivo Municipal (+4), Broncos (+2), Cesar Vallejo (+2)
Biggest Sliders: El Nacional (-4), Atlético Ciclón (-4)
