Here’s the recap for Group B after Round 27 of the Premier World League:

The race in Group B tightened further as the frontrunners continued to exchange blows while the relegation battle descended into desperation.
Gamba Osaka (JAP) remain leaders on 63 points despite dropping form in recent weeks, holding off pressure from Melgar (PER) who are just four points back on 59. Houston Dynamo (USA) (57 pts) sit in third, breathing down their necks with only one defeat in the last five. Kawasaki Frontale (JAP) complete the top four with 54 points, though inconsistency remains their biggest obstacle.
The Argentine giants are still in the hunt: Boca Juniors (ARG) (52 pts) and River Plate (ARG) (50 pts) both strengthened their continental pushes, joined closely by Columbus Crew (USA) (46 pts), who rose into sixth after an unbeaten run.
In midtable, the pack from 8th to 13th remains congested. Internacional (BRA) (46 pts) stumbled again, while Querétaro (MEX) (45 pts) surged back into contention after climbing four places. Cerro Porteño (PAR) (44 pts), Flamengo (BRA) (43 pts), and Union Huaral (PER) (43 pts) are all separated by fine margins, with every result crucial.
The spotlight, however, is on the fight to stay afloat. Emelec (ECU) (41 pts) and New England Revolution (USA) (38 pts) hold narrow cushions, while Santos Laguna (MEX) (37 pts) and Africa Sports FC (IVC) (37 pts) sit just above the drop. Olimpia (PAR) (36 pts) slipped into danger again after losing four of their last five.
In the red zone, Chicago Fire (USA) (35 pts) and Caroni (VEN) (34 pts) hover just beneath safety, alongside Miami FC (USA) (32 pts) and Tigres (MEX) (32 pts), both still clinging on but needing wins fast.
The bottom, though, looks grim: Atlético Nacional (COL) (31 pts), Yokohama F. Marinos (JAP) (30 pts), Chivas (MEX) (29 pts), and Marítimo (POR) (29 pts) are now entrenched in relegation territory. The struggles of Millonarios (COL) (29 pts) and Puebla (MEX) (28 pts) add more chaos to the mix. Meanwhile, Zamalek (EGY) (27 pts), South China (HK) (26 pts), Desna (UKR) (23 pts), and rock-bottom Inter Miami (USA) (19 pts) appear doomed, with Inter Miami losing yet again and extending their miserable season.
