Bella Vista wasted no time taking control of the group. They opened with a strong 4–2 away victory over Vélez Sarsfield before defeating Alianza Lima and later crushing 2 de Mayo 5–1 on the final matchday. Their consistency both home and away separated them from the rest of the field, and they ultimately finished eight points clear at the top of the standings.
The fight for second place remained tense until the closing round. Alianza Lima secured the playoff position with six points after a dramatic campaign filled with highs and lows. The Peruvian side struggled early but recovered with key victories, including a massive 4–0 home win over Vélez Sarsfield and a crucial 3–0 away victory over Vélez on the final matchday that sealed qualification on goal difference.
Vélez Sarsfield will feel extremely unlucky to miss out. The Argentine club finished level on points with Alianza Lima and 2 de Mayo but were eliminated due to goal difference after several inconsistent performances. Their best result came in a convincing 2–0 away win over 2 de Mayo, but heavy defeats against Alianza and Bella Vista proved too damaging.
For 2 de Mayo, the campaign showed promise early on with a draw away at Vélez and a home victory against Alianza Lima, but defensive problems caught up to them late in the tournament. Their crushing 5–1 defeat against Bella Vista on the final day confirmed elimination.
Final Group F Standings
- Bella Vista (URU) – 18 pts
- Alianza Lima (PER) – 5 pts
- Vélez Sarsfield (ARG) – 5 pts
- 2 de Mayo (PAR) – 5 pts
Bella Vista now enter the knockout stage carrying enormous momentum and the confidence of a perfect group-stage record. Meanwhile, Alianza Lima advance to the playoff round knowing they survived one of the tightest qualification battles of the entire Sudamericana group stage.
